Ways you can introduce wellness…
Wellness is a regular practice of activities, choices, and lifestyles that lead you to a state of complete wellbeing. Wellness is more than just nutrition and exercise though, it’s diverse and looks different for everyone. The goal is a balanced lifestyle that results in happier, healthier and less stressful lives.
Wellness can look different for everyone so at the beginning it is a really good idea to think about what wellness means to you. What will get you closer to your goal? What fills up your cup? What reduces stress? What makes you happy?
A wellness activity is anything being done that helps achieve that goal. Whether it’s moving your body to stay active, a five minute meditation at the end of the day to relieve stress, wellness activities are the stepping stones to achieving overall health.
Creating healthy habits that you can spread out into your daily routine is a great way to get started on your wellness journey.
Look at what pocket of time you have and work from there…little bits of wellness spread out through out the day will keep that cup filled and will help you chip away at the bigger picture.
But, also look at what you want to fit in and where you can move things around or create space for. I started getting up an hour earlier everyday to have a lovely warm drink, journal (I also pop on the fairy lights to make it extra cosy) and then pop on the treadmill. It helps me start my day off and feel much calmer through-out the day because of it.
